Welcome to A Living Memory Taxidermy’s website.
I am Joseph Breyette, a taxidermist and owner of A Living Memory Taxidermy located in Roy, Washington.

I've been doing taxidermy off and on for the past ten years. Like many taxidermists, I started by doing mostly European skull mounts and antler plaques. After retiring with 23 years in the United States Army I then took my taxidermy to the next level by attending the American Institute of Taxidermy in 2007.

My passion for hunting and fishing started at a very young age, growing up in Northern New York gave me the privilege of being able to hunt and fish on beautiful Lake Champlain. While serving in the United States Army I have had the chance to travel, hunt and fish in many different states, which gave me the opportunity to become skilled at many different species of North American wildlife. Although, I have attended formal training and was certified in all aspects of taxidermy, I believe there is no such thing as too much knowledge or experience. I continue to hone my skills, learn new techniques and keep up-to-date on the latest products and tools from some of the best taxidermists in the field through taxidermy competitions and seminars. I am also a member of multiple forums which enables me direct communication with hundreds of taxidermist around the world.

All of my hides are tanned either in-house or by a commercial tannery, I use the best forms and materials possible when mounting your trophy. I treat your trophy with the same dignity and respect as I would my own. My ultimate goal is to deliver you the most life-like mount possible in a reasonable amount of time. I believe 15-18 months is too long for a customer to wait to receive their trophy, I will do all I can to guarantee you receive your mount in less than 12 Months even if this means taking in less work.

I am always willing to show the quality of my work, keep this in mind when considering a taxidermist. The price is always the first thing that comes to mind, but quality is also a big factor. There is nothing funny about poor-quality taxidermy. I try to offer you the customer the best of everything and will answer all of your questions.
